Lucky Puppy

I have had the pleasure of working with Diane Schuette for 3 years now.  She has helped me in many ways, both professionally and personally. I have a great deal of admiration for Diane. She has a way with animals that very few people have. She is compassionate and has an innate gift of communicating with animals. At one time my Lab was having complications and I thought I knew massage. I knew nothing compared to Diane.  By the time she was done with my Lab, you could see in, not just her gate but in her eyes, that she was feeling relief and happiness.Diane comes to our facility on an annual basis to volunteer her efforts for charity. She is such a good soul. I love her with all my heart.

Sincerely,
Brenda Langley,
Founder – Lucky Puppy Country Doggy Daycare

NO PET LEFT BEHIND

Many animals suffered terribly at the hands of Katrina and Rita because they weren’t allowed to evacuate with their owners. The Pets Evacuation and Transportation Standards (PETS) act, which The HSUS worked to see introduced, aims to prevent such a situation from ever happening again. The PETS Act would require state and local authorities to include plans for pets and to service animals in the event of a major disaster. The act passed by a landslide in the House this spring but is still pending in the Senate. To see if your senators support the bill, go to http://www.hsus.org/legislation_laws/. If they don’t support the PETS Act, use the contact information on the site to urge them to.

The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) – Disaster Center has several brochures available for download to help you plan for the needs of your pets, horses, and livestock during an emergency.

The following PDF brochures are available for download:

A Horse’s Prayer
