GENERAL GUIDELINES FOR STRETCHES
All stretching movenments need to be slow, fluid motions.
When holding your horse’s leg in full extension or flexion use consistent traction. Sudden pushing or pulling of the leg could cause injury.
At the end of the stretch, gently replace your horse’s leg to it original position.
Use your entire body and bend your knees when lifting your horse’s leg. Please take the neccessary precautions to protect yourself from injury.
Proceed slowly through each of these stretches so they become comfortable for you and your horse.
